Spiral
Wound Gasket - Style ‘G’:
Outer and Inner diameters are reinforced with
minimum 3 plies of metal without filler to give
greater stability and better compression characteristics.
No inner or Outer rings, used in thousands of
different applications, they may be furnished
in many different sizes and thicknesses.
Style - G are made in standard sizes to fit:
1. Large tongue and groove joints, 1/2” thru 24”
NPS, standard pressures
2. Small tongue and groove joints, 1/2” thru 24”
NPS, standard pressures
3. Large male and female joints 1/4” thru 24”
NPS, standard pressures
Spiral wound gaskets must be sized to ensure the
spiral-wound component is seated between flat
surfaces. If it protrudes beyond a raised face
or into a flange bore, mechanical damage and leakage
may occur.
‘G’ - Style commonly used for Valve bonnets, Pressure
