Our mission is to protect people's health
and safety by ensuring risks in the changing workplace
are properly controlled.
We do this through very long experience, information and
advice, promoting training, new or revised regulations
and codes of practice, inspection, investigation and enforcement
HSE’s Strategy is aimed at helping achieve targets. It
brings a clearer focus on the overall direction and gives
priorities for the health and safety system as a whole.
The Strategy is designed to promote our vision: to see
Health and Safety as a cornerstone of a civilized society
and, with that, to achieve a record of workplace health
and safety that leads the world
HSE's job is to protect people against risks to health
or safety arising out of work activities.

and an intrinsic part of community health and wellbeing.
